Upper Souris Watershed Information

Our Mission Statement:

The Upper Souris Watershed Association, through collaborative planning and facilitating partnerships, will protect and improve water quality, water quantity, and the health of our watershed. To preserve the beauty, diversity and integrity of the watershed, we will raise awareness and understanding by promoting sustainable environmental, economic and cultural activities.

Staff

David Pattyson, Watershed Executive Director

David was born, raised and continues to operate the family farm in the Tribune area. In addition to his farming activities he works as executive director of the Upper Souris Watershed Association.

He has also been quite active in the community serving in many volunteer and elected boards. He was a founding member of the Sunrise Community Futures Development Corporation, serving as their vice president for several years.

He joined The Provincial Council of ADD boards as one of the original Environmental Farm Planning Facilitators in 2005, a role which he enjoyed for several years until he joined the Upper Souris Watershed Association.

In Mach of 2013 he joined The Upper Souris Watershed Association as their Executive Director the position that he currently holds.
